Mom’s Doughnuts

Ingredients:

  • ½ pound hard flour
  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup honey
  • cinnamon powder
  • oil

Directions:

To make the donuts put them in a deep bowl the flour with the salt and mix and then roll in the middle of a pit where they pour the yeast dissolved in a half glass of warm water.

Stir and we make a porridge not too dilute.

Allow the batter to rise covered with a blanket.

When we see the first bubbles to the surface is ready.

In a saucepan put much oil to burn.

We form balls tightening little by little in the porridge handful of allowing us to come only from the upper part where the thumb.

One at a donut fry it in oil so we can fill a pan.

Let them turn golden brown and remove with a slotted spoon.

Fry throughout the dough and then the syrup.

Boil the honey and sugar in a cup of water and pour over the dumplings.

Sprinkle with cinnamon and serve hot. The Mom’s donuts are ready!
